Duties include:

  • Diagnose, repair, and perform general and preventative maintenance on customer equipment in the shop or at the customer site

  • Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic system schematics

  • Perform electronic and physical diagnostic tests to ensure equipment and components are secure and functioning properly

  • Identify systems or components that may be causing issues

  • Operate equipment for testing, diagnosing, and troubleshooting purposes, or use various tools and equipment for diagnosis

  • Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing and repairing equipment

  • Test and adjust equipment to meet proper performance specifications

  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding equipment issues and solutions

  • Perform general cleaning and maintenance of the shop environment

  • Weld and fabricate parts and equipment as needed – basic skills required

  • Rebuild equipment as needed

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (written & verbal) skills

  • Ability to lift more than 50 lbs

  • Ability to install, maintain, and repair mechanical and electronic agricultural equipment

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multi-tasking skills

  • Demonstrates professionalism, respect, and commitment to service excellence

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet multiple deadlines

Education:

  • Certificate of Qualification as a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician or a related certification, or three to five years of experience in the duties listed above

  • Valid driver’s license

Pay is based on experience and training and will be competitive with current industry standards. The successful candidate will be required to complete manufacturer training as needed. Must be available for on-call services as required.
